Elections + Voter Participation

The 2022 Charter Review Commission set out a range of goals related to elections and voter participation:

• Increasing voter participation in City elections

• Broadening representation on City Council and the in the Mayor’s office to better reflect the race, gender of portland residents, and to ensure representation for all geographic areas in Portland

• Providing the electorate with more meaningful options
